For the love of animals

Hey there!

Welcome to Creekside Taxidermy located in Wellandport, Ontario. I'm Carol Linde, owner and taxidermist here. I've been working with wildlife preservation since 2022, and I take pride in creating mounts that look natural and do justice to each animal. Whether you're preserving a hunt, roadkill treasure or looking for a display piece, every animal receives meticulous attention to ensure lifelike quality.

I offer full taxidermy services along with professional dry tanning for wall hanger pelts. I also create custom hats, novelty items, and finished tanned pelts. In my store certain specialty pelts, I work with trusted fur dealers to source premium materials and ensure the highest quality in our finished pieces. Check out the shop section for a wide variety of items. Everything I create gets the same care and attention.

Thanks for visiting Creekside Taxidermy!

Trapping

I'm proud to support a number of local trappers for various items in the store. Trapping plays a vital role in wildlife management and conservation. It helps control animal populations in areas where they've become overabundant, preventing damage to ecosystems and agricultural lands. Trapping is also essential for disease management—removing infected animals reduces the spread of rabies, mange, and other illnesses that can affect both wildlife and domestic animals. In some cases, targeted trapping prevents the decimation of vulnerable species by controlling predators that threaten their survival. From an environmental perspective, responsible trapping maintains ecological balance, protects habitats, and ensures that native species can thrive

Natural Warmth

Fur serves as nature's perfect natural insulator, regulating temperature and moisture. Real fur acts as a natural wind breaker, deflecting cold air while trapping warmth close to the body. The dense structure of fur fibers holds onto the heat your body naturally produces and amplifies that warmth, creating an efficient thermal barrier that synthetic materials simply cannot replicate. Unlike synthetic alternatives, real fur is completely biodegradable, breaking down naturally over time without leaving harmful residues in the environment. Plastic-based faux furs may look similar at first glance, but they shed microplastics, resist decomposition for centuries, and fail to capture the authentic texture and movement of genuine fur. When you choose real fur, you're selecting a sustainable, natural material that honors the animal while supporting other small businesses and many trappers
